Esther Martin - About Me

WI License #14783-146

I came to massage via a curiosity in the systems that make the body function. I love to work with my clients to listen to the wisdom the body has to share. My bodywork education began at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque, NM, and continues today with ongoing study in Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute. I am skilled in Swedish, deep tissue, relaxation, and trigger point massage. I am also presently in the second year of Somatic Experiencing training.

I believe that as a massage therapist, I am the tool. You, the client, are doing the work. There is work in being receptive, in agreeing that your self and body are worthy of care, attention, and relaxation. In my sessions I remain in conversation with the present moment in the client’s body. I use an integrative style of massage to address the areas of concern. We are using our body at all times; and I aspire to assist you in making that experience easier and more comfortable. I understand my role to be serving you in your relationship to your self and body during our time together.

In my time out of the office, I am mainly busy with mothering my two young daughters, born in 2020 and 2024. My spouse, Zach Kmiec, and I live in Madison. In the summer of 2024, he opened Cool Bikes North on the Northside.
